Lichii builds and changelog
These are highlights from the release notes. Every build is a prerelease, and performance varies by hardware and scene, so no build promises a universal frame-rate gain.
Build 93
AMD and Vulkan fixes
- Targeted AMD shader fixes, including misaligned 64-bit and 128-bit storage-buffer access.
- Stronger Vulkan synchronization for indirect dispatch and compute writes.
- New desktop configurations start with a performance profile. Existing settings keep their behavior.
- Fixes a lost wake during worker cancellation, including shader loading.
Full notes for build 93Known issues
- These are targeted fixes, so results can still vary by AMD game and driver, and they can cost some performance.
Build 88
Faster caching, better frame generation
- Cached graphics pipelines now prepare in the background.
- The Vulkan cache moves to v53 and keeps compatible v52 caches.
- FSR3 frame generation fixes. It stays off by default.
- A bundled Dynamic FPS mod, on by default for Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Full notes for build 88Known issues
- A shutdown race can leave the emulator waiting when you close it.
Build 83
Ocarina of Time gets its grass back
- Fixes missing vegetation, sky lighting and white flashes in Ocarina of Time.
- Shader work moves onto background threads, with parallel texture unswizzling.
- Fixes a movie playback crash and resize-related device losses.
- Adds an opt-in local debug server and MCP adapter for developers.
Build 75
Star Fox reaches 60 fps
- Star Fox gameplay runs at 60 fps instead of 30.
- The in-app updater now checks Lichii's releases and picks the right download for your platform.
Full notes for build 75Known issues
- Star Fox on RTX 50-series GPUs can lose the device after a scene change. Try NVIDIA driver 610.88.
- "Failed to allocate 14336 MiB of backing memory" means Windows ran out of RAM plus page file. Set the page file to system-managed.
Build 70
The first build named Lichii
- Star Fox renders instead of showing a black screen.
- Donkey Kong Bananza no longer crashes after cutscenes.
- Kirby Air Riders' white world is fixed.
- Apple silicon work takes Mario Kart World races on an M4 Pro from about 9.5 fps to 30–38 fps.
Full notes for build 70Known issues
- Yoshi demo: some textures are still black, and it can crash later in play.
- Kirby Air Riders: some races still stall while shaders build.
Build 65
The last build under the Eglantine name
- Automatic build for Windows, Linux and macOS, published before the rename to Lichii.
