Install on Windows

Download the zip.
Extract the entire archive, not just the program.
Run lichii.exe, or eden-cli.exe from a terminal.

Built with MinGW clang. It bundles its own DLLs, so it needs no Visual C++ redistributable.

Install on Linux

Download an AppImage. It needs glibc 2.39 or newer, so Ubuntu 24.04, Fedora 40, Debian 13 or Arch.
Make it executable.chmod +x lichii-linux-x86_64.AppImage
Run it. Prefer your system libraries? The tarball uses them, including Qt 6.

Install on macOS

The app isn't notarized, so the first time, right-click it and choose Open. Or run:xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine lichii.app

Only use games and system files you have legally obtained. Windows downloads come from this site, and Linux and macOS downloads from the project's GitHub releases.

PGO or standard?

PGO builds are the same programs compiled with profile-guided optimization. The project recommends them when your CPU supports them. Not every release includes them, and this page only lists files from the latest build.

If something goes wrong

"Failed to allocate 14336 MiB of backing memory": Windows ran out of RAM plus page file. Set the page file to system-managed and close memory-heavy apps.
The GPU device is lost in Star Fox on an RTX 50-series card: This can happen after a scene change. Try NVIDIA driver 610.88.
Graphical issues on a PGO build: On Windows, switch to the MSVC zip when a release includes both.
macOS won't open the app: The app isn't notarized. Right-click it and choose Open the first time.
